This week I’ve begun preparation for the ‘second season’ in the garden. The green beans – which had maxed out in their production over a week ago – have been pulled, as have the zucchini & yellow squash plants. They’ll be replanted for a second crop, as well as some additional beets and kohlrabi. The seeds arrived today from Johnny’s Selected Seeds for the fall crops of Bolero carrots, Carioca lettuce and Nero Tondo radishes – they’ll all be in the ground by week’s end!
Here’s a look at what I harvested last week, and what I did Saturday to make sure I can enjoy the fruits of the garden over the winter. Plus, some more beautiful garden flowers images!
